AlphaDUR mini darbība ir ļoti vienkārša, jo visa informācija tiek rādīta lielajā displejā. Ar speciāliem taustiņiem var ātri mainīt cietības skalu un materiālu.

Pateicoties UCI mērīšanas metodei, mērījumus var veikt ātri un precīzi. Izmērītā vērtība tiek parādīta uzreiz pēc testa slodzes piemērošanas. Atkarībā no pielietojuma un parauga virsmas var izvēlēties testa slodzi no 0,3 kg (HV 0,3) līdz 10 kg HV 10.
